New World Cup hosts announced

World Archery has announced some new stage venues for future World Cup events. Stages are awarded for three years, so organisers have a chance to build on and promote sequential events, and the host cities for 2017-2019 will be Salt Lake City, USA; Shanghai, China; Berlin, Germany; and Antalya, Turkey. Salt Lake City and Berlin will be taking over hosting duties from Medellin, Colombia, and Wroclaw, Poland, whose contracts finish in 2016 and 2015 respectively.

The Salt Lake City leg will be the third stage on the tour, and will be held at the Easton Salt Lake Archery Center. Greg Easton commented, “We are excited to host this prestigious event at the new world class Easton Foundation Salt Lake Archery Center. We built this facility with hosting major events in mind and are proud we can bring a leg of the World Cup back to Utah and to Salt Lake City.”
