World Archery has opened voting on its Athlete of the Year awards. The public vote makes up 50 per cent of the overall poll – an archery panel also has a say. The athlete categories cover men’s compound, women’s compound, men’s recurve, women’s recurve, and para-archery, and it includes world champions, world number ones, and record breakers. Great Britain’s Jo Frith is nominated for Para-Archer of the Year: she currently holds all seven active records in the new women’s W1 division
World Archery has also opened up its categories for Photograph of the Year and Volunteer of the Year, in which you can put forward nominations until 31 December.
The results of all the ward categories will be announced at the World Archery Gala at the fourth stage and finals of the Indoor World Cup in Las Vegas at the end of January.
