Kenny Allen hit by para-archery reclassification

The latest reclassification of para-archery competitors has affected another British squad member. Kenny Allen, who has been part of the team for seven years, is the second Team GB archer to lose out under the new regulations after Danielle Brown’s appeal against her re-classification failed.

The re-classification will not affect his previous results, but will bar him from entering future para-archery events. The recurve archer, who qualified top of the ranking round at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, will no longer be able to compete in para-archery competition once the new rules come into effect on 1 April.
