World Archery is putting forward bids to include a mixed team event in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The motion was agreed at a meeting of the federation’s executive board in Nottingham, UK, and will be put forward to the International Olympic Committee. The meeting was held to discuss the Olympic Agenda Impact 2020, in which the IOC has listed proposals to develop the future of the Olympic movement, and the idea to introduce a mixed team event for archery was put forward under the proposal that discusses moving from a ‘sports-based program’ to an ‘events based program’.
